Scope of Study

Summary:This data collection contains economic, social, and demographic information for 18 Latin American nations in the period 1960-1971. Data are provided for gross national product (GNP), gross investment, domestic revenues, tax revenues, expenditures, price index, electric power production, agricultural production, and membership in consumer, credit, and agricultural cooperatives. Data are also provided for population characteristics, such as total population, school enrollment, student-teacher ratio, persons-physician ratio, persons-nurse ratio, and persons-hospital bed ratio.
